The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Thursday, December 18 reveals Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will let Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) have it.
Also coming up, Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) will tell Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) she’s figured out a way to ensnare Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). Plus, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will make an offer to Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford). And Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) will be on the hot seat.
Y&R spoilers tease Phyllis will leave a message for Victor. She’ll tell him she will not be ignored. Then Billy will walk up behind her, grinning. “Let me guess, Victor’s stiffing you on the deal you made with him?” he’ll ask. Not surprisingly, Phyllis will deny it.
Y&R Daily Scoop – Billy Warns If Jabot Fails Phyllis Gets Nothing
But Billy won’t believe her. “Did you honestly think you’d steal the AI for Victor and he wouldn’t screw you over?” Phyllis will try to walk away and Billy will follow her. “I’m here to offer you a deal, one you can actually trust and count on,” he’ll tell her.
They’ll sit down together and Billy will say he knows Phyllis stole the AI and gave it to Victor. He’s also sure Victor is reneging on his side of the deal. “I’m hoping you can steal it back from Victor,” Billy will add. “You can name your price, pick the biggest number you want.”
Phyllis will say she needs to think about it. “If Jabot fails, you get nothing,” Billy will reply. “Nothing from Victor, nothing from us.” Billy will get up to leave, just as Daniel shows up. He’ll grill Phyllis about her conversation with Billy but she’ll change the subject, saying she saw him kissing Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks).
“She’s not for you Daniel, she’s out of bounds,” she’ll add. “What were you thinking?” Phyllis will warn he’s going to get his heart broken. However, Daniel will turn it around on her. “Please tell me you didn’t steal the AI from Cane and give it to Victor,” he’ll say.
Of course, Phyllis will lie and say it’s not true. Daniel will say he spoke to Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) and they agreed that Phyllis needs to find a way out of this. But she’ll tell him she’s about to win and it’ll be something that will bring their family together, once and for all.
Meanwhile, Jack will release a video statement, reassuring Jabot’s employees and customers. Then Adam and Chelsea will walk into Crimson Lights and wish him a Merry Christmas. But Jack will be furious. “How could you, in good conscience release those reports on Jabot, knowing why we did what we did and who’s responsible,” Jack will say. “I thought we were friends Adam?”
Young And The Restless Scoop – Diane Knows Where She Can Find Proof
Adam will say Jack can try to spin it anyway he wants but those were the facts and it isn’t personal. Jack will tell him it’s a stab in the back from a friend and he’ll never forgive him. Adam will say he wishes he could do something. “Prove it!” Jack will shout. “Write a retraction! Better than that, write an apology!” Adam will say he can tell his side of the story, he’ll set him up with a reporter.
“Go to hell,” Jack will reply and storm away. Adam and Chelsea will feel terrible. “There’s a reason we both feel so guilty right now, it’s because Jack was right,” Chelsea will say. She’ll add the real news story was that Jabot was able to defend itself against a vicious cyber attack. But they pushed it aside because it wasn’t part of Victor’s narrative.
Chelsea will admit she’s considering leaving Newman Media. After all, they shouldn’t kid themselves, they don’t run anything. “Exploiting Jabot the way we did, it just felt so dirty,” she’ll add. “I don’t want to be ashamed of what I do for a living.”
At the Abbott estate, Kyle will leave a voice mail for Summer. He’ll say Victor’s coming after them, hard and he’ll ask her to call him back. Diane will walk in and say she can’t believe they’re counting on Phyllis, who’s only ever out for herself, to save Jabot.
Suddenly she’ll tell Kyle she may have just figured out another way to stop Victor. Billy will arrive and say Phyllis is thinking about their offer. Diane won’t be surprised. And when Jack arrives, she’ll say they may not need Phyllis after all.
Finally, Diane will remind them she puts traps in Jabot’s security system to catch Victor in the act. “Once we have that proof, we can put this guy away for the rest of his life,” Jack will say. But Billy will remind them they don’t have that proof. “Not yet,” Diane will reply. “But I know where I can find it.”
